What colour were they originally I’m guessing brightish green

Steve, Sims on the Sinclair, and uber rare Sims Giant Slaloms (the only Sims wheel with no branding on it).

I'm ramping up the effort to find one.

BTW - someone has offered me Sinclair's rider if you want it I will connect. PF9s, it has the checkerboard bottom. Wants about GBP1k

Nice , if it was 500 I’d probably have that , I’ve got just the Sinclair deck and they are massive, nice boards

No idea but they look a bit lighter than the traditional Benjy gree

When you say the MKll do you mean the 30 x9” WWW made deck the same as that Sinclair ?
Was the MKl stripped wood on top like the Sablosky MKl

This is the one he’s after I was the underbidder on this one tonyb bought years back on eBay , you hardly see this model like the downhills , I’d love one of them

I had one in reasonable condition fully gripped etc, but the under side had a chip out of the nose, I search my emails and see if comes up who it went to.

Just noticed that one has a chip too, May be a common thing nose savers were only on their way in I suppose

Paul Philips made a identical replica of those speed boards if you're interested. He may still have one, not sure. They were perfect replica.

Please, please don't pay 'personal rider' prices when it isn't!! I spoke at length to Marc Sinclair at the London Calling event, and he stated that the checkerboard bottom board is NOT a personal rider. The owner and I also had a chat about it and he also conceded that it wasn't.
It's a good example though and the (mismatched 151/169) trucks/wheels also worth having IMO.

I DO have one of Marc's (signed) personal riders on it's way to me as we speak! Most graciously agreed to part with it! It's the ONLY prototype of the downhill/speed board made. No inset badge, only one on the planet. He's had it since '78. Should receive it tomorrow/Wednesday. Grip tape scraps from the floor of the Benjy factory! Bit of damage to the nose but....

I'll post better pics when it arrives!
