Will photograph the Ripstick shortly, definitely one you don’t see too often!
Currently setup with Tracker full tracks (not really wide enough) and Powerflex 7’s……
Not sure posting in the right place!

Re: All things Benjyboard, Decks, wheels, clothing ,skid pads etc
great line up , the longer freestyle one is one you hardly see
Re: All things Benjyboard, Decks, wheels, clothing ,skid pads etc
Bought a couple of years back of eBay, wasn’t listed as a Benjyboard or with any dimensions. I initially thought it was the 27” freestyle, it was the 70mm mark 1 green kryptonics which caught my eye!
I’m glad through this forum to able to identify!

Bugsby, really nice collection - it's actually the original 32" Benjy Kicktail. Came out around the same time as the Freestyle, both had built in risers, but they dropped it pretty quickly and moved to Competition, and then Comp II. They are rare. If you go back a couple of pages, you'll see mine with OJs on them and a picture of a young John Sablosky at Crystal Palace riding the same setup (with Bennetts). Nice collection, I have never seen another Speed board anywhere outside of mine, though one guy has just built 4 perfect reproductions.Bugsyb wrote: Tue Jun 29, 2021 2:08 pm Bought a couple of years back of eBay, wasn’t listed as a Benjyboard or with any dimensions. From the left: Speed Board, Benjyflex, Kicktail, Freestyle, Comp II, Sablosky I, Sablosky II - down from right, Sincalir, Henderson I, White Lightning 30, WL 27, Lollipop.
Missing 2 really.

Very nice indeed……
Was your 42” originally owned by Tony Hallam?
The only other I’ve seen, sold on eBay a year or so back, deck only, heavily sanded….obviously had some use!
I’m aware of some possible repros as the template may of came from mine, although was unsure one or even four would ever be made…..interesting!
I do often wonder how many originals there were.

strange that, id have thought they would be in great condition as they werent subjected to the usual abuse like a normal board was, ive seen a couple on ebay over the yrs but thats all, its great that you still own yours from new, wish id kept hold of all my stuff from back then, although it would have been totally trashed lolBugsyb wrote: Sun Jul 04, 2021 12:00 pm Very nice indeed……

Yep, traded it with TH a few years back can't even remember what for now. I live in Sydney these days, Hallam in Melbourne. Ben Howard aka Mr Benjy also lives down there, but flatly refuses to speak with anyone about the old Benjy days for some reason. Obviously it didn't end happily, I think the end was fairly abrupt!Bugsyb wrote: Sun Jul 04, 2021 12:00 pm Very nice indeed……

Paul Phillips has done the repro's he's a woodworker with a lot of skill. Even inserted the carbon laminate. He does a few Sims decks as well, lives in Accrington if I recall. You can find him on Vintage Skateboard Collectors on FB.
My Speedboard came from Rolling Thunder skate shop originally. There were a few more around as well according to TH - a few had the big Alva writing on the bottom, Glen B had another Benjy with that on as well. Still, it's all a bit in the past now. I did contemplate selling the entire collection a while back. Life moves on.
