Vintage 1970s skateboard forum

I managed to get two of these shipped to the U.K. for £35 so have been doing a bit of dicking about with them.

I’ve flipped them both to make slalom decks. That rubbished grip tape comes off real easy.

I’m going to drill them both for the longer wheel base, as there is very little flex in the wheelbase they come with.

The one that has grip didn’t come in great condition so it’s going to be ridden the other one will be displayed with suitably placed stickers to cover the old truck holes.

Nice things them Steve for the cash, how many MPI and rmi board new old stock are there about there seems a never ending supply of them they've been selling them for years on eBay must be a warehouse or 2 just full of them somewhere,

They are grand for the money, although quality can vary, I’ll tell you better after I’ve had a run on one , but at £17.50 each that’s less than a tenth of the price of Fibreflex reissue I was happy to take a chance.

I read somewhere there was a container load found in the early 2000’s but I’m starting to think it was a container ship

I’ve seen them for less than a tenner, but 29” round nose ones are getting harder to get.
