Sky of Macclesfield , all the wheels started with sky skygrip skysonic etc , I wonder what happened to all these small English firm when skateboarding went out

It’s like the skateboarding industry spawned a load of cottage industries in the U.K. I wonder what happened when the bubble burst to most of these small firms

i suspect most firms were already manufacturing other things and the skatestuff was a quick cash in extra sideline,something they were already equipped to make without any extra outlay,especially joinery companies who could churn out a load of decks probably from offcuts etc ,they would just go back to their normal stuff after it fizzled out i suppose,likewise the companies who made wheels must have already been in the urethane industry making other stuff,i cant imagine anyone would have set up shop especially to make wheels in the uk
