as for the lollipop its incredible nowadays to think that they could get a company/s to buy the wood, cut and shape it, drill the truck holes, print the graphics, grip it,distribute it and sell it on for a profit after paying vat etc for just £5.50  insane

This is 1978 and they're still selling 27" boards and Waimea plastic jobbies? Pig boards started appearing around this time.

I would think nobody would be buying White Lightning 27" or Benjflex models (or Lollipops either). Surely the signature models had come out by then?

Also interesting, is the logo they use on their letterhead - it was only ever used on one board before they changed it, early '77 I think. You get the sense they were struggling by this point. Can't remember when they shut the doors.

Nah, well before late '78. More like late '77 early '78.

Wes was doing his signature DTS boards in April '78. I never knew they had an office in New Bond St either, they were always based in South Bank.

I’m on the look out for some “Alpine Action” particularly this one. (3rd in the long jump 😂)
I get a name check in a few of them which is as close as I ever came to being in a magazine, let me know if you have any, cheers
