Re: ACS TRUCKS
Had these trucks for years from when I first started collecting, most unusual as there is no signs of sand blasting and they are most definitely ACS base plates. Anybody can shed some light?

Re: ACS TRUCKS
Welcome aboard joe can’t help with your question though
Re: ACS TRUCKS
have you had a look underneath them joe and checked the threads in the kingpin hole as they would normally show some black overspray if they were orig black
Re: ACS TRUCKS
Thanks for the welcome.
No, I haven't checked the bottom of the base plates actually. Might have to now that you popped the question Nick.

Re: ACS TRUCKS
I’ve had lots over the years
430,500,651 were out by 1976/7
Early 430’s had a fully threaded axle for loose bearings but I have never seen any of the wider trucks like that.
Then came 580’s and 650’s 1977/8
Then ACS lites 1978
The lites where the first normal trucks with out the lock nut but this design then spread to other trucks
I’m not counting 650’s as normal trucks as they were specifically for down hill.
800’s came out 1978/9
950’s 1979/80 they were a bit late to the show with the really wide trucks
Late 1983/84 they tried to make a comeback with ACS900

Re: ACS TRUCKS
I’d say it’s hard to be totally sure, I have these sky Slalom trucks and they are almost Identical to ACS651’s there were lots of copies about back in the day apart from these

Re: ACS TRUCKS
These are the two types of”pro” baseplates with the lock nut is the earlier one with out the lock nut is the same shape as the ACS lites baseplate but not made of magnesium, to the best of my knowledge

ive got a pair of fully threaded 500's but loose ball bearings were well on the way out by the time they got much wider
